Choir
The choral program at Barrington High School is one that values excellence in the performance of quality choral repertoire, development of musicianship and music literacy, and the social-emotional wellbeing of all students. The choral department includes opportunities for students to engage in a variety of curricular and co-curricular opportunities. The curricular program involves five separate performing ensembles, featuring both treble, bass, and mixed ensembles. Students also have opportunities to engage with the freshman Spotlight production, musical, madrigal program, or five a cappella groups.
Choral students participate in the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) District 7 and All-State activities, solo and ensemble competition and off - campus in-state and out-of-state tours. Recent choral tour destinations include Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, New York City, NY, California, London, England, and Washington, DC.
