Lost Textbooks

  • Option 1: Pay for the full price of the textbook. If the textbook is found within one year and if that textbook is still associated with the class you will receive a complete refund of your  money.
     
  • Option 2: Purchase an exact ISBN# replacement in GOOD condition or better (with few physical flaws).  Once you give us this replacement textbook with receipt denoting that this book is in Good condition, the lost textbook fee will be waived.  However, if you choose this option, you forfeit the refund, if the original textbook is found. Additionally,  if the textbook arrives and it is not in good condition, it will not be accepted as the replacement.
     

Damaged Textbooks

Certain wear and tear is expected and excused. However, excessive damage, such as any liquid damage, requires a textbook replacement. 

  • Option 1: Pay for the full price of the textbook and we will purchase this replacement from the publisher directly.
     
  • Option 2: Purchase an exact ISBN# replacement in GOOD condition better (with few physical flaws).  Once you give us this replacement textbook with receipt denoting that this book is in Good condition, the damaged textbook fee will be waived.  
     

Please note, if the textbook arrives and it is not in good condition or better (with few physical flaws), it will not be accepted as the replacement.

To find the best price and textbook, you may use a site like AddAll.com to search by ISBN # and locate the total price (including shipping) of everywhere that book is being sold. It is sorted from lowest price to highest price. It is RARE that the lowest price is associated with a book in GOOD condition. Please BE SURE TO CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE BOOK.

Barrington High School only accepts textbooks that are in Good, Very Good, Like New or New condition. There can be no highlighting, writing, torn or missing pages or liquid damage to the replacement textbook. EXCEPTIONS: English Novel textbooks CANNOT  be purchased for a replacement. These are purchased in bulk in a PermaBound cover. English Novel Textbook fees can be paid online.
